Getting to work with people
sifting and sorting through the chaos to find a golden thread...
Is simply one of our favourite things to do.

Meet Kate
Hi, I'm Kate. I'm the Co-Founder and a Director of Self Serve, I'm someone who has always been fascinated by what helps people grow, adapt, and reconnect with themselves.
My favourite colours are orange and yellow. I feel most free in the mountains or with an expansive view. I'm happiest eating Italian food, with a glass of red, relaxing with my nearest and dearest.
Life is full, and mine is no exception. As a Senior Yoga Instructor, former youth worker, business owner, and mum to teenagers beginning to spread their wings, I've spent much of my life supporting people through change, growth, and life's many transitions. Alongside my husband, I've built businesses while navigating the sometimes chaotic rhythm of family life, and I understand how easy it is to lose sight of ourselves in this beautiful juggle.
My work has been shaped not only by my personal experiences, but also through my studies in psychology and my ongoing studies in counselling. These have deepened my understanding of human behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and the many ways we can support ourselves and others through change. This knowledge continues to inform the way I create spaces for reflection, connection, and meaningful growth.
I've come to believe that we all carry an innate wisdom that already knows the way forward. Often, we don't need more answers—we simply need the space to pause long enough to hear them. That's why I am passionate about teaching simple, practical ways to calm the nervous system, encourage mindful movement, and create space for self-reflection.
I believe the world needs each of our authentic fingerprints, and I feel privileged to help create the space for people to discover theirs.
Hope to meet you soon, Kate x
Meet Grace
Hi, I’m Grace. I’m a Developmental coach, facilitator, amateur artist, enthusiastic hobby collector and lifelong student of what makes people tick.
I’ve always been curious about the space between who we are, who we’ve been told to be, and who we actually want to become. I’m particularly interested in those moments when something inside us knows there’s more to explore, but we haven’t quite found the words, clarity or confidence to do it yet.
My approach to coaching is grounded in curiosity, self-awareness and the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I’m not here to tell you what to do or hand you a set of answers. I’m here to listen closely, ask the questions that might be sitting just outside your awareness, notice patterns, and create enough space for you to hear yourself clearly.
I bring warmth, honesty, a healthy dose of curiosity and, when appropriate, a little humour. I care deeply about creating a space where people feel genuinely seen and accepted, while still being gently challenged to look at what might be getting in their way.
Outside of Self Serve, you’ll usually find me making some kind of art, getting mildly obsessed with a new hobby (my interests are ever-changing), hunting down a really good coffee, or happily disappearing into a fantasy novel.
Can’t wait to get to work with you,
Grace x
Meet Andy
I run the back office side of things here at Self Serve. Systems, structure, making sure it all actually holds together. Not a backseat thing, it's just genuinely where I do my best work.
I've spent a lot of my career running businesses in different industries across different countries. The story is often the same… long hours, thin margins, being the person everyone comes to when something needs sorting. However, some of the best lessons haven't come from work at all. They've come from my kids. Watching them fall over, cry for ten seconds, then get up and keep going like nothing happened. Meanwhile I've been known to stew on a bad email for a week. They've got something figured out that most adults have lost.
I'm a dad and a husband first, and that shapes how I think about work more than anything else does.
Self Serve is exciting to me because it doesn't matter if you're running the place or working in it, most of us never actually stop and work on ourselves, we're too busy doing the job. Fix that bit and everything else tends to follow.
How did we get here?
Self Serve has been born of the coming together of MANY years of experience in a variety of fields. From yoga studios to self development courses. Coaching to breathwork. Education to couselling. We’ve covered much ground! Combining our various skills, areas of genius and passions has resulted in the creation of this space.
This space will grow and evolve as we do, courses and workshops will be ever changing.
I learnt more about what is important to me, and what values I want to carry with me through this next chapter of life.

Testimonials
It honestly is a whole world of discovery, it was really the beginning for me and I will forever be thankful for it - probably the most unexpected advantage was a release of anxiety moving forward, it taught me that the strategies to calm your mind are there, you are more in control than you think.
On : Self Development Education
After reflecting on the idea that you can't fail when working with values I feel more inclined to engage in the process of defining my own and the process of trial and error.
